We have recently set up a Nurture Room here in Listellick. The Nurture Room is a calm, supportive space where children can settle emotionally at the start of the school day or during the school day. It helps children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn before returning to class. Children are supported with routines, emotional check-ins, and gentle activities that build confidence and wellbeing. Time in the nurture room is short-term and focused on helping children succeed in the classroom. We also have a sensory pod and a ball pit for children to engage in regulation activities.
